AREA INFORMATION
NoBe Bay is located in the North Beach area of Miami Beach, one of the fastest growing areas for upscale professionals in the Miami area.
As Miami Beach continues to be at the forefront of desirable locations for both primary-home buyers who make South Florida their permanent residence and second-home buyers looking for a vacation residence on the beach, more prospective condo buyers are eyeing the 13-block long parcel of prime real estate as the place to shop for their future home. “The central location of North Beach, between Bal Harbour Shops, which is minutes to the north, and the entertainment and nightlife of South Beach minutes to the south, is one its the main attractions to buyers in this area.
Beginning at 63rd Street and heading north to the North Beach Town Center at 69th Street, this oceanfront neighborhood’s centerpiece is the famous Deauville Hotel. The four-block district (there are no even numbered streets in the neighborhood) features not only hotels, restaurants and tourist shops, but apartments and oceanfront condominiums as well. The local attraction is the North Beach Publix at 69th Street. For the visitor, there’s the Shane WaterSports Center and, of course, the beautiful beach and Atlantic Ocean.
Water surrounds the North Beach Resort District. To the west, there is a long frontage on Indian Creek, including the Miami Beach Police North Sub-station and historic Miami Beach Firehouse #4. In the near future, exciting improvements are planned for the neighborhood, including the North Beach Recreational Corridor along the oceanfront and improvements to Allison Park at 65th Street. Discussions are underway as part of the North Beach Redevelopment & Historic Preservation Plan for improved parking and pedestrian corridors from the Atlantic Ocean to Indian Creek.
Perhaps most exciting is the neighborhood’s MiMo (Miami Modern) architecture. Rapidly becoming an icon of the North Beach area, MiMo is post-war modern architecture with the whimsical boomerangs, swirls, and perforations that represent the optimism of the period. Late last year, the City of Miami Beach began the process of exploring designation of the North Beach Resort district as a historic district. This is the district of the “MiMo Monuments.”
